The 3M™ Littmann® Master Cardiology™ stethoscope features dual-frequency diaphragm technology, a 3M invention, which allows the physician to hear different high and low frequency sounds by simply pressing the bell. Unlike double-headed models, there’s no need to turn it over and reposition it. Apply light pressure to the pinna to hear low-frequency sounds; apply firmer pressure for high-frequency sounds. This feature saves time for the healthcare professional to concentrate on the patient, while the anti-cold ring enhances patient comfort. For even greater comfort, the lyre’s tension can be easily adjusted to the size of the head, by tightening or spreading the prongs. The eartips are clip-on, flexible and conformable to individual ears for excellent acoustic sealing and optimum comfort. The ear-tips are firmly clipped to the end of the ear-tip branches and, for safety reasons, require a significant effort to remove. The new-generation tubing retains its shape and flexibility even after being folded into a pocket. It ensures a longer stethoscope life by being more resistant to skin fluids, alcohol and stains. The new-generation tubing is manufactured without the addition of natural latex, a major advantage for healthcare professionals and sensitive patients. And to help protect human health and the environment, the new-generation tubing is phthalate-free. The Master Cardiology stethoscope is manufactured using rigorous processes and checks at every stage to ensure consistent quality.
