There are four stages in the creation of a corset:
– Taking measurements and impressions.
– Fitting: an important step in ensuring comfort and correction.
– Delivery: the orthotist validates the corset with the medical team. He or she will advise the patient on how to fit it, and provide instructions on use and care. – Follow-up: throughout the treatment, the orthotist may, if necessary (in the event of morphological change, growth, evolution of the pathology, etc.), make modifications to the corset. Wearing a corset can present certain constraints, but the outcome of the treatment depends on good cooperation between the patient, parents, doctor, physiotherapist and orthotist.
