Covidien antithrombosis medical stockings develop a degressive pressure (from the ankle to the thigh) and thus improve blood circulation in deep and superficial veins. The negative effects of venous stasis are reduced to a minimum. Because of these special properties, the stockings are only recommended as support stockings for patients confined to bed (day and night) or immobilized during a pre- or post-operative period. The stockings are open at the front of the foot to enable the doctor or nurse to monitor blood circulation.
