OMRON BF-214 Body Composition Analyzer The Omron BF 214 analyzer has 4 electrodes and is designed to measure and display the following body composition parameters:
– Weight.
– Percentage of body fat. This value is determined by the ratio of body fat mass to total body mass, expressed as a percentage. – Percentage of skeletal muscle mass. An increase in skeletal muscle mass means that the body can burn energy more easily, reducing the likelihood of it being converted to fat and thus facilitating an energetic lifestyle. – BMI + 4-level classification. The Omron BF-214 impedance meter scale determines the percentage of body fat using the bioelectrical impedance measurement method. This method makes use of the fact that muscles, blood vessels and bones are body tissues with a high water content, easily conducting electricity, whereas body fat is a tissue with low electrical conductivity. The BF 214 impedancemeter scale sends an extremely low electrical current through the user’s body to determine the amount of fatty tissue. It then uses the height, weight, age and gender information provided by the user to generate results based on OMRON body composition data. Convenient!
