\nThe 3M\u2122 Littmann\u00ae Master Classic II\u2122 stethoscope combines the acoustic performance of a dual-frequency membrane with the comfort of a one-piece bell. The Master Classic II stethoscope is used by medical students and healthcare professionals for cardiac, pulmonary and other body sounds auscultations. The dual-frequency diaphragm, a 3M invention, enables high and low frequency sounds to be heard alternately by simply pressing the bell. Unlike double-headed models, there’s no need to flip and reposition. Exert light pressure on the pinna to hear low-frequency sounds; apply firmer pressure for high-frequency sounds. This feature saves time for the healthcare professional to concentrate on the patient, while the anti-cold ring enhances patient comfort. For even greater comfort, the lyre’s tension can be easily adjusted to the size of the head, by tightening or spreading the prongs. The eartips are clip-on, flexible and conformable to individual ears for excellent acoustic sealing and optimum comfort. The ear-tips are firmly clipped to the end of the ear-tip branches and, for safety reasons, require a significant effort to remove.
